Slooh: The Robotic Observatory

This is a trip: its a robotic telescope attached to the Internet, with nightly missions to show pretty amazing parts of the sky:

"Slooh is an online observatory and resource for astronomy enthusiasts to remotely stargaze the night sky and explore space such as planet Mars and Saturn rings with a powerful telescope for hobbyists."

Check out their Sneak Peak page for some cool details and pictures:

Leaves of Grass, Song of Myself

I celebrate myself;
And what I assume you shall assume;
For every atom belonging to me, as good belongs to you.

I loafe and invite my Soul;
I lean and loafe at my ease, observing a spear of summer grass.

Houses and rooms are full of perfumes-the shelves are crowded with perfumes;
I breathe the fragrance myself, and know it and like it;
The distillation would intoxicate me also, but I shall not let it.

The atmosphere is not a perfume-it has no taste of the distillation-it is odorless;
It is for my mouth forever-I am in love with it;
I will go to the bank by the wood, and become undisguised and naked;
I am mad for it to be in contact with me.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you did not do than those you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. Give yourself away to the sea of life." - Mark Twain
